Bangkok, Thailand – Tichuca and Gir join forces with ATH, an environmentally conscious collective, to showcase a series of transformative art experiences woven with themes of environmental change this festive season.

Tichuca x Gir x ATH

Running “Reflections” from December 20th to 31st, 2024, the showcase invites guests to immerse themselves in mixed-media installations within Tichuca’s lush jungle. Launching “Monologue of a Stargazing Whale,” an immersive art display within Gir, a bar located on the 40th floor, beneath the root of the Tichuca tree.The collaboration completes in a grand finale featuring Pavee, a Thai visual artist and projection mapper, who will close the year with a captivating visual feast through projection mapping, celebrating the beauty of nature and turning waste into a source of creative rebirth through the lens of local artists.

Mirroring the society’s pattern of overlooking environmental issues, the team introduced "Reflections"—where surface beauty often overshadows deeper concerns, encouraging a fresh look at the hidden truths we often overlook.

The focal piece is The Willow Tree, or The Tree of Soul, a mixed-media art installation. This piece is intricately designed with lighting effects, aligning with the tropical jungle of Tichuca. The trunk was built from used wood, while the branches were carefully chosen for similar look waste, symbolizing the blend of discarded resources and new life. In a redefinition of ornament culture, Tichuca showcases melted plastic caps, arranged in round plates hanging throughout the rooftop. The installation embodies two key elements of Tichuca's jungle: the illuminating effect and the breezy winds of Bangkok. Completing the launching with a unique collection of everyday lifestyle pieces—rings, necklaces, and bracelets—crafted with purpose which piece in this collection carries a story.
