HOW OUR CHAIR TELL A BIGGER STORY

Updated: Sep 11

At Tichuca, we believe design should make you feel something. Not just look good or serve a function, but actually tell a story. That’s why even the chairs you sit on here weren’t just picked out of a catalogue. They were made with purpose. Every chair and table on our rooftop was custom-designed by the Thai design studio, Paper Plane Project Studio. They’re made from recycled wood, carefully collected from different manufacturing processes. What might have been discarded or forgotten is brought back to life in a new form. And to us, that’s beautiful.

These aren’t just pieces of furniture. They’re a reflection of how we think about sustainability. The materials are chosen to last, to be reused again and again without losing their charm or character. There’s a kind of quiet honesty in them. Nothing flashy, just thoughtful craftsmanship and care for where things come from. We love that these pieces were made by local hands. That they’re rooted in Thai creativity. And that every time someone pulls up a chair, they’re experiencing a small piece of that story maybe without even realizing it.

So next time you’re up here, take a moment to notice where you’re sitting. Feel the wood. Look at the shape. There’s meaning in every curve, and a reminder that even the smallest details can have a big impact when they’re made with heart.
